Every war carries a hidden threat, because the fighting destroys the environment, polluting it for many years. A full-scale war in Ukraine will be a global tragedy. The environment has no boundaries. Poisonous waters will end up in European rivers and the oceans, and polluted air can be carried by winds to any point on the globe. The East Option team has assembled a pool of subject matter experts to find out what the consequences of the war will be for our environment.
