Eco-activists urged Ukrainians to consume wisely, because passive observation of the deterioration of the planet will lead to irreversible environmental changes.

Environmentalists have warned that humanity has a maximum of 50 years left to avoid a catastrophe, Eco-Service reports on Facebook.

"We often complain about bad air, poor-quality water, dirt on the roads, deterioration of health, poor-quality products, deforestation, increase in energy tariffs. And if we continue to passively observe, further deterioration of the planet's condition is inevitable," the message reads.

To prevent irreversible environmental changes, Ukrainians were advised to:

  1. buy things only if you really need them;
  2. do not buy garbage – give preference to goods without excessive packaging;
  3. refuse single-use plastic bags, because they do not decompose naturally;
  4. "no" once – try not to buy disposable products;
  5. sort garbage;
  6. use water and electricity sparingly;
  7. plant a tree and support initiatives to preserve and protect forests;
  8. support eco-production;
  9. give new life to old things;
  10. love nature
