On Wednesday, October 12, a meeting of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management will be held in videoconference mode.

Deputies will consider in the second reading draft law No. 7557 "On the functioning of local and voluntary fire protection", as well as draft law No. 8037 "On chemical safety and management of chemical products." For these documents, the eco-committee is defined as the main one.

The committee should submit its proposals to the following draft laws:

  • draft law No. 8010 "On the special legal regime of economic and investment activities in the priority development territory of Chernihiv region";
  • draft Law No. 8035 "On Amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine regarding the updating and improvement of some provisions".

In addition, people's deputies will consider a letter from the Accounting Chamber regarding the Report on the results of the analysis of the state of completeness of assessment and timeliness of the receipt of the environmental tax, which is charged for emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere by stationary sources of pollution.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Verkhovna Rada approved draft law No. 0167 "On Ratification of the Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on Ukraine's participation in the EU LIFE Program  Environmental and Climate Action Program".
