People's deputy Viktor Chornyi became a new member of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on environmental policy and nature management. During his tenure as a People's Deputy, he supported, among other things, the development of biofuels and the preservation of forests.

Before the EcoCommittee, he was a member of the VRU Committee on anti-corruption policy.

Chornyi graduated from the Donetsk Higher Military-Political School of Engineer Troops and Signal Troops (military-political specialty, qualification "teacher of history and social science") and the Ukrainian Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine (specialty "public administration").
