284 People's Deputies voted "for".

The Parliament finally supported the European integration draft law No. 11310 "On the main principles of state climate policy".

Oleg Bondarenko, the head of the Verkhovna Rada's eco-committee on environmental policy and nature management, announced this.

According to him, the draft law will contribute to the fulfillment of Ukraine's European integration obligations, as it was developed with the aim of bringing the national climate legislation closer to the EU acquis in the field of climate.

The parliamentarian recalled that the adoption of this draft law is one of the indicators of Ukraine's implementation of the Ukraine Facility Plan.

"The state climate policy is the fulfillment of Ukraine's international obligations, in accordance with various international treaties, in particular the Paris and Montreal agreements. We must lay the foundations for the creation of a climate strategy that will allow for nearly 30 years to work and reduce the impact of climate change on the lives of citizens of our country," Oleg Bondarenko noted.

Earlier, EcoPolitic already reported that The Committee on the Integration of Ukraine into the EU gave his positive conclusion regarding the project of the European integration Law of Ukraine No. 11310 "On the basic principles of state climate policy".
