The law No. 8053 provides for fines for non-compliance with platform rules

In Ukraine, draft law No. 8052 "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on the development of electronic trade in alternative fuels" was registered.

The document is designed to create a single electronic platform within which producers and buyers of biofuel will cooperate, the "Bioenergy Association of Ukraine" reports on Facebook.

Draft Law No. 8052 establishes the procedure for the creation and operation of an electronic trading system for trading in alternative fuels.

Why an electronic trading system is important:

  • ensuring the quality of biofuel in accordance with the requirements for the quality of fuel traded in the electronic trading system;
  • the balance of supply and demand, because certain market participants are proposed to be obliged to trade through the electronic trading system.

In the message, it was noted that in case of failure to comply with obligations, fines may be applied, which are provided for in the related draft law No. 8053 "On amendments to the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses regarding liability for offenses in the field of electronic trading of alternative fuels."

"The UABIO team supports and cheers for this draft law, because it will significantly help in the development of bioenergy in Ukraine," the authors emphasized.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the State Energy Efficiency Agency and the Ministry of Energy have prepared 2 draft laws designed to exempt enterprises that burn biofuel, from paying emissions taxes carbon.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, experts in the field of bioenergy in Ukraine are celebrating increasing the demand of communities for information on the preparation of fuel projects to replace natural gas.
