Testing will continue until May 29

The Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources has launched a test version of the Unified Register of Strategic Environmental Assessment on the single platform "EkoSystema".

Digitization will make the SEO process convenient and accessible, and environmental information will be open to the public, as stipulated by the Aarhus Convention and other European directives, the Ministry of Environment reports in Telegram.

It is noted that digitalization will simplify the procedure, because users will not need to prepare paper documents and communicate with officials. You can familiarize yourself with the functionality of the Register by following the link.

The message said that testing will last until May 29, and users will be able to send comments to shymkus.m@mepr.gov.ua. Also, on May 25 and 26, the Ministry of Environment will hold trainings on work in the Registry.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, Ruslan Strilets, emphasized that the launch of the online procedure will allow the creation of a unified database with materials from all SEOs in Ukraine.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that on May 2, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Procedure for maintaining the Unified Register of Strategic Environmental Assessment.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in November 2022, the Verkhovna Rada approved in the second reading the government draft law No. 5159 "On the introduction of liability for violation of the procedure for carrying out a strategic environmental assessment."
