Group DF International and Hyundai Engineering Co. Limited have signed an agreement to establish a chemical industrial park in Rivne, where the company plans to produce ammonia and nitrogen fertilizers.

This was reported by the press service of Group DF.

Group DF founder and CEO Dmitry Firtash and Hyundai Engineering CEO Hyeon-Sung Hong signed the agreement that launched the project.

It is noted that the plan envisages the construction of plants for the production of "environmentally clean" ammonia, nitrogen fertilizers and other derived chemical products. In addition, within the framework of this project, it is planned to create the first production of hydrogen and ammonia based on renewable sources of electricity in Ukraine.

The executive director of Group DF International GmbH, Robert Shetler-Jones, is confident that this project is capable of changing the role of Ukrainian chemistry and the Ukrainian economy on the industrial map of the EU.

"The company with which we are starting to work has tremendous experience and expertise in the field of design and construction of industrial facilities. A new strategic business alliance can provide good synergy. I am sure that it is the big Ukrainian business that will lead the renewed recovery of the country's economy. And we we already understand our role well: in cooperation with Hyundai, we will be in the fairway of the restoration of Ukrainian chemistry," Shetler-Jones emphasized.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the KSG agricultural holding announced the creation of a project of a new plant for the processing of demolition waste. He will specialize in sorting, processing and disposal of the consequences of destruction in the Kherson region.
