Since the beginning of 2022, 1.32 billion hryvnias have been damaged for environmental violations

In Ukraine, violators of environmental legislation from 23 to 29 September paid claims to the state budget in the amount of almost 3 million hryvnias voluntarily and involuntarily.

Environmental inspectors carried out 35 control measures in a week, reports State Environmental Inspectorate on Telegram.

They drew up 103 protocols on administrative offenses and calculated more than 1.4 million hryvnias in damages.

The report noted that since the beginning of 2022, inspectors have calculated more than 1.32 billion hryvnia of damage for violations in the field of environmental protection. In particular, land resources were damaged in the amount of about 750 million hryvnia.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Ukraine monetary penalties for violation of environmental laws are distributed among environmental protection funds, state, regional and local budgets, which is determined by special laws.

As EcoPolictic reported earlier, in Ukraine from September 2 to September 8 violators of environmental legislation caused damage to the environment in the amount of more than 6 million hryvnias and paid UAH 1.78 million to the state budget voluntarily and involuntarily. During this week, environmental inspectors carried out 57 control measures and drew up 131 protocols on administrative violations.
