In Volyn, in the Lyubeshivska community, air quality monitoring stations with an additional radiation background sensor began to be installed.

This will allow residents of the community to receive information about exceeding pollution standards, reports Lyubeshiv village council.

The message emphasized that the monitoring stations also:

  • provide access to data on dust content in the air, temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure and other indicators;
  • will create an opportunity to predict probable periods of increased threat to public health for early response to them.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Volyn region are planning increase the number of stationary points monitoring the state of atmospheric air and expanding the list of pollutants subject to monitoring. Currently, only 4 such points are functioning in the region.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the Kyiv City Council supported the State Monitoring Program in the field of atmospheric air protection in the city, which will expand the existing monitoring network and promote improving air quality.
