The State Water Agency appointed a new manager: what is known about him

Since June 2022, Yanchuk has been the Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Mykhailo Yanchuk as the new head of the State Water Resources Agency of Ukraine ( State Water Agency).

It is expected that he will reboot and activate the work of the department, reports the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilets on Facebook.

The shooter said that the new manager is expected to:

  • completion of river basin management plans for nine river systems;
  • creation of the National Joint Stock Company "Water Resources of Ukraine";
  • digitization of the water sector and the development of the field of water monitoring.

"I believe that the experience that Mykhailo Yanchuk has will help the State Water Agency team to implement the important tasks facing them," he wrote.

As you know, prior to this appointment, Yanchuk held the position of Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine for European Integration from June 2022.

He also worked:

  • 2021-2022 – Deputy Director, Director of the "Agency for the Development of the Infrastructure of the Stock Market of Ukraine";
  • 2021 – adviser to the chairman of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission;
  • 2019-2021 – Deputy Director, First Deputy Director of SE "Service Center of Sea and River Transport";
  • 2017-2019 – deputy director at "RKC";
  • 2010-2017 – Deputy Director of "Intelecom-S" LLC;
  • 2008-2010 – project manager of "Greenfield Alliance" LLC;
  • 2008 – director of "Amiko" PE;
  • 2005-2007 – deputy director, director of "Balance-2" LLC;
  • 2004-2005 – various positions in "Finance and Credit" and "Pravex-bank" banks.

According to YouControl, Yanchuk is the founder of the companies "Ekosistema", the all-Ukrainian public organization "Strength of the Nation", and the Ukrainian trading company "Vega".

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, the government appointed Svitlana Grynchuk as the new Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, who in 2022 held the position of Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine for European Integration.
