This will help increase the profitability of the business and strengthen the energy security of Ukraine

Ukrainian enterprises will be able to receive loans for $150,000 for the implementation of energy management and energy efficiency measures.

Also, small and medium-sized businesses will be able to receive micro-grants, Anna Zamazeeva, head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, reports on Facebook.

She held a meeting with representatives of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), where they discussed a joint project to support businesses in the implementation of energy efficiency measures and energy management systems.

Zamazeeva stressed that energy management and energy efficiency measures will help:

  • reduce the cost of production;
  • increase business profitability;
  • create new jobs;
  • enhance the energy security of the country.

"Energy management and energy efficiency measures are still a relatively new concept for Ukrainian business. But we want as many Ukrainian enterprises as possible to implement this, both large and small and medium," she said.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Cabinet of Ministers dismissed Valery Bezus from the position of the head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving and appointed Anna Zamaseeva in his place.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the European Parliament and the Council of the EU have reached a preliminary political agreement to revise the EU Energy Efficiency Directive, namely the reduction of final energy consumption at the block level by 11.7% in 2030.
