In Vinnytsia, the berry and fruit processing enterprise launched the first phase of a 250 kW rooftop solar power plant.
Thanks to SES, the company already consumes 20% less energy from the network, says the story of VitaTV.
It is noted that the enterprise specializes in growing and freezing various berries and fruits grown on the territory of Ukraine, as well as in the production of fruit fillers.
"Electricity is becoming more expensive. We understood that the barbaric attacks on Ukraine's energy system would not stop. Therefore, in order to compete, produce a cheap product and reduce the cost price, we must be energy-independent, energy-efficient," said company director Kostyantyn Kuzmenko.
He added that in 2024, the company plans to install a second stage of a 250 kW rooftop SPP, and later a third one with the same capacity. This will replace about 70% of energy from the network.
The article emphasized that Vinnytsia declared the Green Course as early as 2020. Currently, there is a small business support program in the community for the installation of SES.
Deputy Mayor of Vinnytsia Andriy Ocheretny noted that entrepreneurs have the right to compensation in the amount of 30% of taxes paid for the previous year. For example, if the company invested 300,000 hryvnias in a solar power plant and paid 1 million hryvnias in taxes to the local budget in 2022, the community will compensate the entire amount of expenses. If the cost of SES is higher, the company will receive partial compensation.
According to local managers, autonomous energy sources allow:
- strengthen the community's energy independence;
- reduce energy consumption;
- reduce carbon emissions.
The article emphasized that in Vinnytsia more than 30 enterprises have installed solar power plants for their own consumption.
We remind you that in Vinnytsia, the Aurora company has completed the first stage of construction of a rooftop solar power plant on the basis of its distribution center, which will have a capacity of 850 kW in bright sunny weather.
As previously reported by EcoPolitics, the solar power plant installed on the roof of the Kostopil glass factory (Rivna region) in just one month, thanks to its work, helped to reduce the company's emissions by 98 tons CO2.
