In Lviv, 167 trees were illegally cut down on the territory of the hospital in the Sykhiv district.

This caused damage to the environment in the amount of 209.4 thousand hryvnias, reports the State Environmental Inspection in Lviv region on Facebook.

This caused outrage among users of the social network. One of them noted that trees had to be cut for a long time and many people this was seen and ignored, although they could have stopped the destruction of the trees, contacted the police or the city council.

Eco-inspectors handed over the violation materials to law enforcement agencies in accordance with Article 214 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Lviv regionthe SSU exposed several officials from the forest farm, who earned on the appropriation and sale of high-grade wood in wartime conditions. Violators entered unreliable data in the reporting documentation regarding the number of fellings and the grade of wood.

As EcoPolitic previously reporte, in the Zaporizhzhia region, eco-inspectors found an illegal felling of trees in the field protection forest strip, which caused losses in the amount of more than 588 thousand hryvnias. Two "black lumberjacks" damaged 42 trees to the point of stopping their growth.
