1529 air samples were analyzed in the observatory

In the air of Kyiv during the week with 11 to 16 in September, an excess of the average daily maximum allowable concentrations of nitrogen dioxide by 3.2 times was found.

Compared to the previous week, the content of nitrogen dioxide and suspended solids has decreased, says the weekly report on air pollution from the Borys Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory.

According to the observatory, the exceedance of the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) for the average daily content of nitrogen dioxide was:

  • 3.0-3.2 times – on Hetman Pavlo Polubotka Street and in the area of Beresteyskyi Prospect (September 11 and 12);
  • 2.0-2.9 times – on the streets of Akademik Strazheska, Oleksandr Dovzhenka, Inzhener Borodin, Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard, Bessarabska Square, St. Kaunaska, Obolonsky prospect, Demiivska square;
