The forum is not a ranking and does not evaluate the significance of achievements

On June 15, Kyiv and Dnipro will host the Forum "Women's Leadership for the Protection of the Environment and Sustainable Development" and the presentation of the "Green heart leader" honorary awards.

The nominees were chosen based on the results of a public poll, reports the Office of Sustainable Solutions.

"Women's leadership in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development in the conditions of the climate crisis and war in Ukraine is extremely important. Especially when there is destruction and national pain everywhere, when you have to be indomitable and fight for the future," the article emphasized.

It is noted that the purpose of the Forum is:

  • creation of a network of women leaders who promote sustainable development at all levels, decarbonization, ESG and eco-transformation in Ukraine despite war and crisis;
  • to note the contribution of the most active drivers of the green movement and scale their experience.

"This forum is not a ranking, it does not divide into 'significant and even more significant achievements,'" said the president of the PAEU Association of Environmental Professionals, Lyudmila Tsyganok. as the ability to emphasize and listen, and the disposition to share and cooperate."

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in January 2023, the first All-Ukrainian Animal Welfare Award was presented to volunteers who saved animals from war.

Previously, EcoPolitic conducted a unique study of surface water quality in 8 reservoirs and 11 pumping stations in Kyiv and the region. Exceeding the pollution standards was detected in 5 rivers and lakes, as well as in 1 pumping station.
