The winner of the tender was suspected of overstating the prices in the work estimate

In Kyiv, the utility company held a tender for surveying and clearing the Lybidi underground river, the cost of which reached 14.6 million hryvnias.

The river will be cleaned of significant silt deposits, wood and various garbage, by the sole tenderer LLC "Arsenal-Bud Montage", reports KyivVlada.

It is noted that the river will be cleared on the plot from the street Saperno-Slobidska to Lysa Gora tract in 10 days. Garbage and sludge must be removed by the end of 2023.

The expected cost of cleaning the river reached 14.87 million hryvnias, and "Arsenal-Bud Montage" will complete the work for almost 14, pcs million hryvnias.

"According to the result of open tenders with special features, the only bidder was recognized as the winner of the tender – the company that in the tender offer overestimated the prices for the largest items in the work estimate," the material says.

Earlier, Ecopolitic wrote, that in August, KP "Pleso" announced that it plans to hold a competitive tender for clearing the underground section of the Lybid River under Saperno-Slobidska Street from significant silt deposits, wood and various garbage. This will improve drainage and prevent future flooding.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in February 2022, activists noted that the brook of the Lybid river was littered with garbage, although the municipal officials promised to clean it by mid-January.
