Only live trees without decorative ornaments are accepted for disposal

On Wednesday, January 31, Christmas tree collection points in Kyiv will close.

During the last day, Kyiv residents can take their Christmas trees and pine trees for ecological recycling to 44 points, the Kyiv City State Administration reports on Facebook.

"Ecological recycling produces wood chips that are used in green economy. In particular, specialists mulch the holes of young trees to protect them from freezing and preserve moisture," explained Oleksandr Voznyi, director of the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Change Adaptation at the Kyiv City State Administration.

It is noted that only live trees without decorative ornaments are accepted for recycling.
