The maximum air temperature reached 26.9°C, which is 3.8°C higher than the previous record in 2017.

The average daily air temperature was the highest on record for this day, amounting to 16.4°C. This is a 9.9°C deviation from the climatic norm, and a 2.4°C increase over the records of 1990 and 2017.

On April 2, the maximum wind speed in Kyiv reached a record 19 m/s (68 km/h), which is 1 m/s higher than the record set in 2018.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, a high level of air pollution was detected in the capital. Dust from the African Sahara Desert has covered most regions of Ukraine, leading to a slight deterioration in visibility.
