Eco-inspectors calculated almost 58 million hryvnias of damage to the environment as a result of missile strikes on the Kharkiv Mechanical Repair Plant.
The total area of littering of the territory amounted to more than 1,000 m2, the State Inspectorate reports on Facebook.
It was noted in the message that it is difficult to determine the exact date of impact and the number of rocket strikes, however, eco-inspectors processed all possible materials for calculating damages.
In peacetime, the enterprise was engaged in the production of machines, special and general equipment, building metal structures and metal-plastic windows. Currently, its territory is covered with remains of ammunition, plastic, wood, metals, glass, brick, concrete, slate, etc.
"Damage caused to the state as a result of the violation of environmental legislation was calculated in accordance with a special methodology developed by specialists of the State Environmental Inspection and the Operational Headquarters immediately after a full-scale invasion in order to record the damage caused as a result of armed aggression," the message said.
The eco-inspectors handed over the case materials to the Operational Headquarters of the State Eco-Inspection.
