Eco-inspectors will report on the successful liquidation of illegal landfills

Eco-inspectors of Odesa and Mykolaiv regions have launched an open-ended campaign "Notice of an illegal landfill – make your city clean!".

They call on Ukrainians to help clean the environment of garbage, namely to report illegal landfills, the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western District reports on Facebook.

"We increasingly hear the words 'ecology', 'environmental pollution', 'polluted environment'... Gradually we got used to these words," the press service emphasized.

Eco-inspectors explained that anyone can contact the department in a convenient way and provide information about an illegal landfill, including the address or geolocation and a photo.

How to report natural landfills:

"We will inform the public about the work carried out and the liquidation of illegal landfills," the eco-inspectors emphasized.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Odesa, in the area of Zhovtiy Yar village, the territories adjacent to the Saryary River were littered with household waste. The river and its mouth itself flow into the Karachaus estuary, which is part of the national natural park "Tuzlivski lymani"

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Mykolaiv in the Ingul District on the banks of the Ingul River, a spontaneous landfill of household waste and old furniture was formed on an area of 155.43 m2.
