With a significant increase in the biomass of algae (up to 500 g/m3 and above), biological pollution begins to appear, as a result of which the quality of water deteriorates significantly. In particular, its color, pH, viscosity changes, transparency decreases.
It is worth noting that it is dangerous to bathe in water during blooming. After all, algae release the products of their vital activity into the water. These substances can be toxic to humans and cause allergic reactions.
