If necessary, the buildings will be able to provide the community with energy and heat

In Kyiv region, the Bucha community will build its own sewage treatment plants, which will run on green energy.

Sewage will be cleaned in three stages according to European standards, Bucha City Council reports on Facebook.

It is noted that sludge, i.e. heavy particles that will remain after three stages of cleaning, will be used as fuel. It will become a raw material for the production of gas, heat and electricity.

The message said that the community has already concluded a contract for the development of pre-project works with the communal enterprise "Buchaservice" and LLC "Yutem-Engineering".

"The goal of this project is to feed the sewage treatment plants independently. And if necessary, to provide energy and heat to the Buchansk community. Green fuel will help preserve the environment and get rid of emissions of pollutants," said Serhiy Mostipaka, head of KP "Buchaservice".

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that for the Zhytomyr waterworks they plan to build new treatment facilities using the latest European technologies and the main sewage pumping station.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Slavutych, in the Kyiv region, a biothermal power plant with a capacity of about 700 kW will be built to provide critical infrastructure for €6 million with a grant from the international organization NEFCO.
