It will be able to receive partial compensation for the cost of equipment from the city budget

The Vinnytsia logistics center can now fully function without centralized power supply. The company fully covers its energy needs thanks to the installation of a solar power plant (SPP) and energy storage facilities.

This was announced by the head of Vinnytsia, Serhiy Morgunov, on Facebook.

He said that on the basis of production capacities, in addition to the rooftop SPP with a capacity of 422 kW, energy storage units with a capacity of 396 kW were recently installed here. They allow the company to store the generated electricity, and therefore to work without interruption in conditions of blackouts and save jobs.

The mayor reminded that the city has a program that compensates businesses for 30% of the costs of equipment for the production of energy from renewable energy sources.

"Now this enterprise will be one of the first to receive appropriate compensation from the community budget," he said.

According to the head of the city, the Vinnytsia logistics center plans to reinvest funds received from the community budget in further development. The company intends to expand and build a multifunctional hub that has no analogues in Ukraine. New technological solutions are planned to be involved in this project.

Last year the city authorities of Vinnytsia introduced the Procedure for partial compensation of costs for the purchase of equipment for the production of electricity from RES for micro, small and medium-sized businesses. And already in June of this year, the deputies decided to extend the effect of this Order to large businesses as well. So now, enterprises that, in addition to SES, also install storage batteries, will be able to receive more compensation.

As EcoPolitic reported, in December 2023, in Vinnytsia enterprises move en masse for own "green" generation. They installed more than 10 MW of solar power plants for their own needs, which provided "green" energy for about 10% of consumption.

A little later, we told you that the roof SPP with 140 panels at the bread factory "Nash hlib Vinnytsia" provided a third of the company's electricity needs.
