The forest farm violated the requirements of environmental protection legislation

In the Kyiv region, the Boryspil forest farm must compensate over 1 million hryvnias for the illegal felling of 150 trees in the Kyiv forestry.

This decision was made by the Commercial Court of the region, the State Environmental Inspection of the Capital District reports on Facebook.

"The calculation of the damage caused to the forest was carried out in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 23, 2008 No. 665 "On the approval of fees for calculating the amount of damage caused to the forest", stated in the press service of the State Environmental Inspection.

The report emphasized that the forest farm violated the requirements of environmental protection legislation.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court regarding compensation of 5440.122 thousand hryvnias losses to the Zakarpattia region Department of Forestry and Hunting and the Velikobereznyan Forest Farm for the illegal felling of 367 trees. The attackers carried out continuous felling on an area of ​​5 hectares, in particular without an environmental impact assessment procedure.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Volyn the court forced the State Enterprise "Volyn Military Forest Farm" to compensate over 1.24 million hryvnias for the destruction of 237 trees. Violations were discovered in 2020.
