Less than a month has passed since the state enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" again announces tenders for the purchase of two batches of cars and a batch of motorized bicycles.
EcoPolitic found information about them on the Prozorro platform.
According to tenders announced on August 5, State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" plans to purchase a batch of 31 cars for UAH 52.2 million and a batch of 58 cars for UAH 54.8 million.
On its Facebook page, "Forests of Ukraine" explained that it will be 58 budget Renault Duster crossovers and 31 Mitsubishi L-200 pickups.
"Renault Duster after purchase will be handed over to the forest guard for patrolling and production needs. "Mitsubishi L-200 pickups are purchased to replace machines that (due to withdrawal) our branches hand over to the Armed Forces," the foresters explain.
It does not seem possible at the moment to check how many cars the state-owned enterprise will actually hand over to Ukrainian defenders.
SE "Forests of Ukraine" also said that the company's investment plan for this year provides for the purchase of 250 vehicles – 138 Renault Duster and 112 Mitsubishi L-200.
The state-owned enterprise claims that the tenders for the purchase of Renault Duster and Mitsubishi L-200, announced on August 5, are the last two tenders for this year.
However, EcoPolitics found another tender, which dates back to the next day – August 6 – for the purchase of another car worth almost UAH 1.3 million. That is, the "last" tenders turned out to be not so "last".
But not only by cars. On July 26, State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" announced a tender, and on August 5, it held an auction and purchased 5 motorized bicycles for UAH 917.5 thousand, that is, UAH 183.5 thousand per piece. On the page in the social network, this purchase was explained by conducting a pilot project in the branches of the Northern Forestry Office.
"Let me remind you that the state-owned enterprise spent almost UAH 154.4 million on cars this year alone. Now they will still "develop" millions on bicycles", – this is how people's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reacted to another strange purchase in his Telegram channel.
In mid-July, EcoPolitic already wrote about the fact that according to the people's deputy , no state-owned enterprise buys as many machines as "Lisy Ukrainy" State Enterprise, especially in a full-scale war.
