Residents of Buchi, in the Kyiv region, were urged to sort household waste in order to preserve the environment.
The town operates four reception points from the specialized ecological enterprise for the collection, procurement and processing of solid household waste "Rada", and one more in the village of Vorzel, reports Buchansk City Council in Telegram.
The city council emphasized that processing solid household waste gives it a second life.
"Bring waste paper, spools, scrap glass, plastic bottles, aluminum cans and stretch film without impurities to the reception points," the message urged.

The message emphasized that it is necessary to bring clean, dry, separated raw materials to sorting points.

Let us remind you that in Buchi, in the Kyiv region, citizens were urged to squeeze plastic bottles as tightly as possible, to save space in collection containers and fuel for special vehicles. It will also prevent improper reuse of such bottles.
As previously reported by EcoPolitics, Ukrainians were urged to stop throwing paper in the garbage, and to bring it for recycling. Every ton of paper and cardboard recycled saves an average of 17 trees, 60,000 gallons of water, 225 kWh of electricity and 2.5 cubic meters of landfill space.
