The region has significant economic potential

In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a new head of the State Forest Agency, Sergei Kokots, was appointed to improve the economic performance of the region and increase Ukrainian capacities.

Ivano-Frankivsk region belongs to the most forested regions of Ukraine with an average forest cover of 42%, reports the head of the State Forest Agency Yuriy Bolohovets on Facebook.

The region sells one of the most commercial types of wood, namely European spruce (fir).

Although the economic performance of the region has improved significantly over the past few years, the region has much more potential.

So, the average salary in the region is 15.7 thousand UAH/month, in the industry - 17.4 thousand UAH/month. The cost of an impersonal meter of a cubic tree is UAH 1,800, and in the industry it is about UAH 2,000.

“The Frankish region today must work not only for itself, but also for the Kherson region, Donetsk, Luhansk. We need to increase our capacity as much as possible,” said Bolochovets.

Personnel changes are taking place on behalf of the Minister of Ecology Ruslan Strelts. The newly appointed head of the Ivano-Frankivsk State Forestry Agency, Sergei Kokots, previously served as director of the State Enterprise Slavske Forestry.

“The task set before the new leader is to bring the region to a new level. Now you need to work not only for yourself, but also for your neighbor”, writes Bolochovets. - "Now everyone needs to work on their front."
