In Ukraine during the fall, 229 million trees were planted on a total area of 6,270.4 hectares as part of the "Green Country" program of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
Foresters also created 1,721.4 hectares of new forests and planted trees on an area of 5,271.8 hectares, the State Forestry Agency reports on Facebook.
The message noted that in 2022, a forest was planted on a total area of 23,306.4 hectares. You can track the implementation of the program by region on the website Green country.

- Kyiv – 5,862 thousand;
- Kirovohrad – 668.6 thousand;
- Lviv – 1,186.9 thousand;
- Mykolayiv – 373.1 thousand;
- Odesa – 21.6 thousand;
- Poltava – 1,351.9 thousand;
- Rivne – 1,844.4 thousand;
- Sumy – 1,409.2 thousand;
- Ternopil – 206.8 thousand;
- Kharkiv – 436.1 thousand;
- Khmelnytsk – 715.7 thousand;
- Cherkassy – 1,915.3 thousand;
- Chernivtsi – 347.8 thousand;
- Chernihiv – 4,278 thousand;
- Ukrainian Research Institute of Forestry and Agroforestry named after G. M. Vysotsky – 790.2 thousand;
- Pasternak Ukrainian Research Institute of Mountain Forestry – 1.1 thousand;
- Shatskyi National Nature Park – 10.8 thousand.
It was noted that the best terms for planting forests are spring and autumn, when plants are in a natural defoliated state and in a state of reduced activity of physiological processes.
