The company will collect the first harvest in 2 years

"Ukrteplo" LLC planted 11 hectares in the Rivne region energy willow seedlings on the territory of Dyadkovytsia village community.

The plantation was set up on land unsuitable for agriculture, which is suitable for growing energy willow, reports Rivnenski Novyni.

It is noted that the company plans to plant additional trees during the summer under favorable weather conditions and soil moisture.

"The company will receive its first harvest in two years. In the future, it will have its own biofuel raw material every year," the article says.

Rivne news emphasized that the cultivation of energy willow will provide an opportunity to establish a full cycle from the production and processing of biofuel to the production and delivery of thermal energy to the consumer.

As you know, a group of companies "Ukrteplo" specializes in the implementation of new energy projects and the production of heat and electricity from renewable sources.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in October 2021, the company "Rivneteploenergo" and Dyadkovytska hromado of the Rivne region signed a memorandum on the cultivation and processing of energy willow.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (UABIO) has launched interactive online maps that show the land potential for growing energy plants and their existing plantations by region.
