The developer must pay the city more than 13.2 million hryvnias for cutting down trees

In Brovary, Kyiv region, the executive committee allowed cutting down 3,306 trees and 222 bushes so that DBK-Partner LLC could build a new residential complex.

The trees are planned to be destroyed within a month, reports Tribune – Brovary on Telegram.

The material said that the new residential complex will consist of 6 buildings with 24 floors each. It will become part of the 1st and 2nd microdistricts of the IV residential district.

In the act of inspection of green areas, it was noted that the condition of all trees and bushes is "satisfactory". These trees are self-seeding.

The article emphasized that only 12 of all the trees are planned to be left. The company must pay the city more than 13.2 million hryvnias for the removal of other plants.

The authors said that the executive committee had to consider the issue of removing such a number of trees as early as March 28, 2023. However, the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Capital District demanded reports on the survey of green areas, so the issue was removed from consideration.

"Two months later, on May 26, a meeting of the technical council was held in the city council, during which the Department of Security of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection presented the project "Construction of a multi-apartment residential building with elements of social infrastructure at 225 Kyivska St.," the material says.

It is noted that the residential complex will have 2,400 apartments, of which 180 will be given to military personnel.
