Many trees threatened the lives of residents

In Kyiv, about 10 trees were cut down in the yard of a high-rise building on Sichovyh Striltsiv Street, 55, in the Shevchenkiv district in the Kudryavets area, in order to make way for a parking lot.

The trees were destroyed without proper documents and consultations with local residents, Dmytro Perov, an assistant to the deputy of the Kyiv City Council, reports on Facebook.

He said that the residents of the house approached him about the illegal logging. At the scene, it turned out that the workers did not have the necessary documents.

Perov noted that they want to build a parking lot on the site of the destroyed trees.

" I asked on the basis of which documents felling is carried out. They say that the trees threaten the lives of the residents ", said the deputy's assistant.

Perov turned to the police and filed an application for self-determination (Article 356 of the Criminal Code).

The felling of trees caused outrage among netizens.
