The police have started a pre-trial investigation

In the Kyiv region, in the village of Ostriv, in the Bilotserkiv district, the police discovered an illegal construction site with sewerage piped into the Ros River.

Violations were discovered thanks to the publication of a resident of the Rokytnya community on a social network, the "Kyiv Oblast Police" reports in Telegram.

It is noted that the law enforcement officers went to the specified place and recorded the presence of buildings on the coast.

They also managed to establish that the sewage system had not yet been connected.

Investigators of the Belotserki Police Department of the Kyiv Region have started a pre-trial investigation under Part 4 of Article 197-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Unauthorized occupation of a plot of land and unauthorized construction." The maximum penalty is imprisonment for a term of up to one to three years.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that the authorities of Kyiv are required to preserve the Rusanivska Kosa, which is near the Rusanivka micro-district of the Dnipro district, from any construction, to preserve it in its natural state and not to hinder its visitation. They want to build a rowing base on the spit.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, the director of the private firm that built the protected Dolobetsky Island will be tried in Kyiv. He is suspected of intentionally damaging the object of the nature reserve fund, forging documents and abuse of authority.
