The manager also said that the wind turbines themselves and the equipment for them were purchased abroad. It has already been used, so its cost is significantly lower compared to a new one.

“For it [the wind generator – ed.] to work, we still need a good month to distribute electricity throughout the windmill itself, check its connection, whether there are electrical networks. We also have an external connection. We also need to connect electrical communications, cables, transformer substations and cable lines for high-voltage switches. We have not yet received them. We have ordered them, they promise us them by the end of the year,” said the general director.

According to Stepan Shiliga, the total cost of this project is more than €1 million.

Ruslan Maksymiv also said that each of the wind turbines being installed now has an approximate capacity of 2 MW, and those 4 wind turbines, which are already functioning in Zboriv, have an approximate capacity of 650 kW. According to the head, they have already brought about 1 million UAH to the community budget for 9 months.

First Deputy Head of Ternopil OVA Stepan Kuibida said that there are 2 wind power plants (WPP) with capacity of more than 5 MW in Ternopil region. Since the beginning of the year, they have produced almost 5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, the official said.
