What are the conditions for hazardous waste collection

Communal workers stressed that thermometers and lamps must be delivered in factory packaging. If it is not present, it is advisable to wrap them at least in a homemade cardboard container - separate for each lamp or thermometer.

We will remind also that hazardous waste is accepted only at the population. Organizations must independently enter into disposal agreements with enterprises.

What happens to waste then

Used thermometers and lamps are given by communal services to Polekozahist LLC after collection, to which the city pays for utilization. KATP-1628 stores the batteries in its warehouse and then takes them to Kyiv, where the organization "Environmental Investments" sends them to Romania for recycling.

On the eve EcoPolitic reported that during July in Lviv, citizens will be able to dispose of used mercury thermometers, lamps and batteries.
