Eco-activists called on Ukrainians not to destroy live trees to celebrate Christmas and New Year, but to create a creative festive composition from ears of corn, paper, nets, etc.

The team of the Yapomoga public organization on Facebook has prepared TOP-5 ideas for Christmas trees that will save forests and the environment, and their production will create a festive mood for the whole family.

Such hand-made Christmas trees can be a good gift for relatives and friends and decorate a home, school auditorium or office.

"Imagine, involve the children in creating your own unique New Year's beauty, spend time together and save a live Christmas tree - let it grow," urged eco-activists.

As EcoPolitic reported before, in Kyiv and the region on the eve of the New Year holidays, eco-inspectors, forest guards and law enforcement officers will conduct operation "New Year's tree" to strengthen forest protection and coniferous plantations.
