Eco-inspectors calculated more than 4.1 million hryvnias in damages in the Kirovohrad region for felling 586 trees along the T-1211 highway near the Veliko Andrusivska territorial community.
This is the most high-profile violation of environmental protection legislation during the week from April 7 to 13, the State Environmental Inspection reports on Telegram.
The press service said that materials with signs of a criminal offense were handed over to the police and the regional prosecutor's office.
The report emphasized that during the week, eco-inspectors conducted 74 control measures and drew up 248 protocols on administrative offenses.
It is noted that:
- the total amount of fines imposed reaches 48 thousand hryvnias;
- 48 thousand hryvnias were charged to the State Budget;
- the total amount of claims and lawsuits is 350 thousand hryvnias;
- Voluntary and compulsory damages were collected in the amount of 809 thousand hryvnias.
The report emphasized that the second largest environmental disturbance was discovered in the Dnipropetrovsk region. For example, near Kryvyi Rih, 31 trees were damaged to the point of stopping growth. Damages reached 743 thousand hryvnias.
The eco-inspectors handed over the materials to the Security Service of Ukraine and the regional prosecutor's office.
It is noted that in the Kirovohrad region, the fact of poaching was also discovered in a prohibited place in the Kamian reservoir. Criminals caught fish with nets worth more than 698 thousand hryvnias. The case materials were handed over to the law enforcement officers.
