Enterprises whose activities harm the environment are required to register as environmental tax payers

In Volyn, during the first half of 2022, economic entities paid more than 13.3 million hryvnias in environmental tax.

Since Volyn does not belong to the regions where active hostilities are taking place, tax officials ask taxpayers to comply with the requirements of the law and transfer taxes to the budget in a timely manner, reports Business. District.

Out of the total amount of eco-tax revenues in the region, more than 9.9 million UAH are directed to the general fund, and about 3.3 million UAH are the revenues of the special fund.

"Effective counteraction to military aggression of the Russian Federation requires adequate financial support, as well as the solution of current socio-economic issues. Therefore, tax officials draw the attention of taxpayers of Volyn to the importance of strict compliance with the requirements of tax legislation," the article noted.

Business entities whose activities harm the environment are required to register as environmental tax payers. All economic entities that emit pollutants into the air, discharge into water bodies and place waste in specially designated places must have such registration.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote that in Ukraine for 2022, enterprises located in the territories of hostilities will not be charged and there is no need to pay eco-tax.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, polluting enterprises in the Lviv region for the period from January to April 2022 paid UAH 28.6 million environmental tax
