A new reserve was created in the wild forest in the Ternopil region

This is one of the most valuable forests in the region

In the Ternopil region, a new nature reserve Loshnivska stinka was created, which will preserve 124 hectares of wild forest and the valley of the Gnizna River.

On the territory of the reserve, scientists discovered animals and plants that are protected by the Red Book of Ukraine and international conventions, reports the "Ukrainian Nature Conservation  Group – UNCG" on Facebook.

The new reserve is located between the villages of Krovynka and Loshniv of the Terebovlyan community.

"This is a natural broad-leaved forest massif, not cut down at all, one of the most valuable forests in the Ternopil Region," said environmentalists.

The following rare species were found in the reserve:

  • ordinary nesting box;
  • lovely bifoliate;
  • white snowdrop;
  • forest ferret;
  • common badger;
  • forest marten;
  • long-tailed owl

On August 26, the Ternopil Regional Council made a decision to announce a new object of the nature reserve fund.

Earlier, EcoPolitic reported that on the territory of the object of the nature reserve fund within the regional landscape park Zagrebella eco-inspectors found disposal of construction waste in Ternopil lake.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Kyiv, in the Darnytsky district, near the Bortnichy housing estate, Lake Korovyache is planned to be declared as a landscape reserve of local importance, the area of ​​which will reach 1 hectare.
