The reclamation of a landfill in the resort village of Slavske in Lviv region will not be carried out for the time being.

The village council rejected all three proposals that were admitted to the tender, ZAXID.NET reports.

It is noted that it was planned to spend 50 million hryvnias on reclamation, but the bidders were rejected because of:

  • LLC "Promin Bud Service" – failure to submit a document for some auto equipment, as well as lack of information about the education of two auxiliary workers.

ZAXID.NET was told that the company is also connected with a number of scandals. According to the YouControl service, over the past three years of operation, "Promin Bud Service" was the defendant in five court cases. Two criminal proceedings are connected with the enterprise, one of which concerns crimes against property.

  • "Unibud Energy Service" LLC – the company did not provide the necessary information about its financial status;
  • "Automagistral-Pivden" LLC.

"Although the protocol on the rejection of this proposal has not been published yet, the chairman of the Slavska settlement council, Volodymyr Bega, said that all three proposals that were admitted to the tender were rejected," the article says.

In the community the risk of contamination of the surrounding territories from the landfill has existed for 50 years.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in Lviv region in November in the resort village of Slavsk they announced a tender for the reclamation of a landfill and the construction of a waste sorting line.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in Chernihiv Oblast, the director of the utility company Pryluk was informed of the suspicion of contamination of land with hazardous waste, which caused losses of more than 32 million hryvnias. The official organized the removal of 80 tons of drilling mud to the city landfill.
