Poachers who caught 328 fish with nets and caused damage totaling over 561,000 hryvnias were discovered and detained in Kirovohrad region.

Violators were detected by eco-inspectors together with police officers, the State Eco-Inspection of the Dnipro District reports on Facebook.

Thus, an intruder was discovered at the Kamian Reservoir near the Dnipro-2 garden association, who caught 283 fish with the help of two fishing line nets and a motor boat. The amount of damage is 483 thousand hryvnias.

Also, at the Voynivsky Reservoir of the Ingulets River, another intruder caught 45 fish using a boat and brass nets, which caused damage to the environment in the amount of about 78.7 thousand hryvnias.

The message emphasized that these violations contain signs of the commission of a crime, the responsibility for which is provided by Art. 249 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The materials were handed over to law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Kirovohrad region, two poachers were caught with brass nets caught more than 2 million fish hryvnias in the prohibited zone of the Kremenchuk HPP on the Dnipro River.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, during a raid in Volyn on the territory of the Shatskyi National Nature Park, inspectors found a poacher who grossly violated fishing rules.
