In Yuzhny Buz, the content of ammonium nitrogen exceeded 30 times

In Khmelnytskyi region, in September, the worst water quality was found in the South Bug River, with an exceeding of the maximum permissible concentration of nitrite nitrogen by 48 times in the area of ​​the village of Kopystyn, which is near Khmelnytskyi.

Also, a tenfold increase in pollution levels was found in the rivers of Horodotska, Slobidko-Kulchievetska, Starokostyantynivska and Yarmolinetska communities, the Khmelnytskyi Regional Center for Hydrometeorology reports on Facebook.

It is noted that in South Buz in the area of ​​the village of Kopystin of the Khmelnytskyi community, the following exceedances of the MPC were found:

  • ammonium nitrogen – 30.3 times (11.8 mg/l);
  • nitrite nitrogen – 48 times (0.96 mg/l);
  • biological oxygen consumption for 5 days (BSK5) – 5.3 times (15.78 mg/l).

The message added that exceeding the MPC was also found in the rivers:

  • Smotrych in the village of Lysoghirka of the Horodotsk community — 10.3 times (nitrite nitrogen);
  • Muksha in the village of Mala Slobidka of the Slobidko-Kulchiyevets community — by 10.2 times (nitrite nitrogen);
  • The situation in the village of Krasnosilka of the Starokostyantinivska hromad — by 10.2 times (ammonium nitrogen);
  • Ushytsia in the village of Sokolyvka, Yarmolynetsk community — 10.2 times (nitrite nitrogen).

Earlier, Ecopolitic wrote, that in September in Khmelnytskyi in the South Bug River a mass death of fish on the stretch between Svobody streets and Starokostyantinivske highway.
