Ukrainians can support reserves that are under occupation and those that have already been liberated

In the Kharkiv region, the fighters of the 92nd brigade freed the Dvorichansky National Natural Park (NPP), the Velikoburlutsky Steppe and Izyumska Luka regional landscape parks (RLP) from the occupiers.

These protected areas are located next to each other, near the village of Velikiy Burluk, and "Izyumska luka" is located near the liberated city of Izyum, reports the "Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group – UNCG" on Facebook.

The Dvorichan NPP and the Velikoburlutsky RLP were centers of conservation of Ukrainian marmots.

Eco-activists noted that it was the Dvorichan and Velikoburlutka marmot populations that became donors for the return (reintroduction) of marmots in many areas of Kharkiv region and other regions of Ukraine. After all, a few decades ago, this beast practically did not remain anywhere.

They also noted that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, UNCG has been supporting national parks and reserves under occupation, as well as those that have already been liberated.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Chernivtsi region, the prosecutor's office opened criminal proceedings regarding the illegal plowing by farmers of gopher settlements on the banks of the Dniester near the village of Bernove in the Dniester district.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, in the Ternopil region they created a new reserve "Loshnivska wall", which will preserve 124 hectares of wild forest and the valley of the Gnizna River.
