The recommendations should provide a unified approach to reporting

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources has approved guidelines for registering data on emissions and transfers of pollutants.

Such reports must be submitted by enterprises that fall under the requirements of Law No. 2614-IX "On the National Register of Pollutant Emissions and Transfers," the Ministry of Environment reports on Facebook.

It is noted that the Ministry's team, together with experts from the APENA 2 international technical assistance project, developed recommendations to help with the best way to prepare such reports:

  • procedures for drawing up a report of an authorized body;
  • procedures for drawing up and submitting the operator's report.

The documents should provide a unified approach to reporting. You can familiarize yourself with them at link.

The press service emphasized that in two years the integration of the National Register of Emissions and the transfer of pollutants of Ukraine to the European Register "Guidance Document for the implementation of the European PRTR" is planned.

"Therefore, such recommendations will be useful for the implementation of this task," the message added.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, on October 8, 2023, Law No. 2614-IX "On the National Pollutant Release and Transfer Register" came into force in Ukraine, and polluting enterprises must submit data on their facilities to the PRTR within 6 months.
