In the Kyiv region, near the village of Rozhny, in the Zazymska community, a large-scale landfill of plant residues, construction and household waste, as well as barrels, probably with waste fuel and lubricants, was found in a field.

The landfill is located near the road between the village of Litka and Brovary and borders the Zalissia National Nature Park, the Ministry of Forestry Telegram community said.

"Shame! How does the local government not notice this?, the author of the video emphasized. "Then it will go into the soil with the rain."

He said that there are private houses near the landfill. And he also suggested that the environmental commission of the community ignores the existence of a landfill.

The author of the video added that 16 open barrels with a substance similar to saltpetre are located near the landfill.

The community urged the State Environmental Inspection to respond to land pollution, and the territorial community to restore order in its territory.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that in the Kyiv region in 2023, eco-inspectors discovered the largest unsanctioned landfill on communal lands in Yagotyn, in the Boryspil district. The area of the landfill reaches 11.3 hectares, and the average height of the waste piles is more than 2 meters.

As EcoPolitic reported earlier, in Buch, Kyiv region, police officers exposed local entrepreneurs who provided garbage removal services, but were taking it to a forest strip. Each violator faces a fine of up to 1,360 hryvnias.
