In Lviv, a court has imposed a preventive measure on Oleksandra Sladkova, deputy director of the city council's economic development department, in the form of a personal commitment, who is suspected of forgery and abuse of office.

In December 2022, she signed two certificates of completion for the cleaning of the lakes, but they were not completed, which increased the cost of the work by UAH 758 thousand, according to the court ruling on the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.

The term of the personal obligation will last until April 28, or until the end of the pre-trial investigation, if it expires earlier. This means that Sladkova must appear at every request of the investigator, prosecutor and court. She is also prohibited from communicating with witnesses in the case and from leaving the Lviv region.

During 2019-2023, Oleksandra Sladkova headed the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv City Council.

It is noted that on November 25, 2022, the Department of Ecology signed an agreement with an entrepreneur to clean up lakes in four parks:

  • Snopkivskyi;
  • Sand lakes;
  • Walnut Grove;
  • Archangel Michael Park.

In the case materials, it is indicated, in particular, that the work of construction equipment (excavator) is included in the acts of completed construction works. However, its use has not been documented.

According to ZAXID.NET, the only participant and winner of the auction was Lubomyr Sikora, who had to complete the work for UAH 1.2 million by the end of 2022.

"As a former head of the Department of Ecology, I was declared suspicious," Sladkova wrote on Facebook. – There is a feeling of anxiety, but a much stronger understanding that she did everything right and the work will be protected."

As EcoPolitic previously reported, Oleksandra Sladkova, Deputy Director of the Economic Development Department of the Lviv City Council, was suspected of money laundering while cleaning the lake.
