Prosecutors proved in court that forestry did not take measures to protect the forest

The Zaporizhzhia Prosecutor's Office has recovered UAH 1.6 million from a forestry and hunting enterprise that allowed illegal felling of trees of various species in one of Zaporizhzhia's forestries.

This was reported by the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The Economic Court of Zaporizhzhia Region satisfied the claims of the Voznesenivskyi District Prosecutor's Office in Zaporizhzhia to recover UAH 1.6 million in damages from the forestry and hunting enterprise.

Prosecutors promised to monitor the forestry's compliance with the decision after it enters into force.

In March, EcoPolitic reported that the director of Kivertsiiv National Nature Park "Tsumanska Pushcha" was informed of suspicion of illegal felling of trees in the amount of more than UAH 16.5 million.
