Where to return lamps, batteries and medicines in Khmelnytskyi: addresses and schedule

In Khmelnytskyi, in March, the mobile hazardous waste collection point "eco-bus" will be used to recycle fluorescent lamps, batteries, electrical equipment, household chemicals, medicines, used disposable cigarettes, etc.

The schedule of eco-bus stops was published on its Facebook page by the public organization "Smart Environment. Khmelnytskyi".

Hazardous waste can be brought daily to the Waste Management Center (7 Myru Ave. and the intersection of Chornovil and Pilotska streets) from 8:00 to 19:00.

The following types of waste can be brought to the eco-bus:

  • batteries and accumulators;
  • fluorescent lamps;
  • thermometers and mercury-containing materials;
  • paints, glues, solvents (with containers);
  • electrical and electronic equipment;
  • detergents, household chemicals (with container);
  • expired medications.

This garbage cannot be thrown into the general container, because it has an extremely negative effect on the environment. But thanks to the ecobus, it will be recycled or disposed of.

  • March 9, 09:00-17:00 – South-West microdistrict, Delicate store, str. Instytutska, 7;
  • March 10, 09:00-17:00 – Zarechje microdistrict, "Stary Mlyn" cafe, str. Zarichanska, 40;
  • March 13, 12:00-17:00 – Vystavka microdistrict, Institute of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAUP), Myru Avenue, 101A;

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that near Khmelnytskyi they started cutting down a part of the Hrynivetskyi forest where, according to local residents, in the 1970s a cemetery was built for livestock that died of diseases.

As Ecopolitic reported earlier, students of the Khmelnytskyi Polytechnic Vocational College offered an ecological alternative to cling film – waxed paper.
