In Kyiv, the public organization Yapomoga turns sorted plastic bottles and caps into eye prostheses for the military and parts for combat drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, bringing victory closer.
They, together with the Uklon company, launched the initiative "Send secondary raw materials – bring victory closer", reports Yapomoga on Facebook.
"By not throwing away, but carefully sorting and handing over clean and dry recyclables to Yapomoga for further processing, you can not only improve the ecological condition of our country, but also speed up victory – this is currently our most important goal!", the message emphasized.
Accepted for processing:
- HDPE plastic caps, from which parts for drones are made;
- PET – plastic bottles (transparent, blue, green, and brown, except for opaque yellow, black, and white colors), bags for milk and kefir, containers for bottling soft drinks, juices. This material is excellent for recycling and therefore does not pollute the environment;
- HDPE – bottles and other containers for the needs of the food, chemical, pharmaceutical industry;
- LDPE is a smooth and elastic material. "Neshurshaschie" bags, garbage bags, toys, tarpaulins, films, lids for bottles of 19 liters, stretch film. This material is recyclable and recyclable;
- PP – sports shakers, bottles for children, containers for food, containers for yogurt, straws for drinks. The material is recyclable;
- Paper: cardboard boxes, cardboard, paper, paper packaging, newspapers, magazines, notebooks, albums, postcards, printing. You need to compress them as much as possible, remove the staplers.
- Aluminum bottles, foil, metal cans;
- Glass;
- Containers of the Tetra Pak type and others, in which juices and dairy products are usually poured. It is important to rinse the container and discard it in the container with plastic, since it is a combination package, after unscrewing the lid/cutting/opening it.
The message stated that Yapomoga does not accept receipts, napkins, parchment, paper contaminated with food, fat or liquid, paper cups for recycling. And also heat-resistant or crystal dishes, impact-resistant glass, ceramics.
Sorted waste can be taken to the sorting station yourself at the address: st. Construction industry 2 (Mon-Fri from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m), or order delivery to Uklon (at service rates).
