Solar panels are planned to be installed in the condominium soon

In Kyiv, a high-rise building in the Obolonsky district was included in the TOP-10 best energy-efficient buildings in Europe.

Thanks to energy modernization, the building became independent of city heating, and its residents spend almost half as much money on heating and live in comfortable conditions, despite the realities of war, reports Vgorode.

The article said that the project was conceived and implemented by the head of the condominium, Denys Kuksa.

It is noted that it was possible to reduce energy consumption thanks to:

  • insulation of the facade;
  • installation of LED lamps;
  • replacement of windows;
  • heat pumps on the roof, which allow autonomous control of heating.

The authors emphasized that the installation of the pumps cost more than 5 million hryvnias. 70% of the amount was compensated by the city government of Kyiv, and the residents had to pay about 20 thousand hryvnias for each apartment.

Kuksy explained that the hot water supply goes to the apartments with the help of a recovery system from heat pumps. It takes hot air from bathrooms and kitchens and heats cold water with it. And the heating system is implemented on passive evaporators. The house produces up to 3 Gcal per 1 kW of electrical energy.

In addition, solar panels are planned to be installed in the condominium soon.

Earlier, EcoPolitic wrote, that despite the war in Rivne, they completed the work that had started earlier energy modernization project of an old building, in which the condominium "Promin-Rivne" was created.

As EcoPolitic previously reported, 578 ESCO contracts were concluded in Ukraine during the first half of 2022 for a total amount of more than 1.34 billion hryvnias for increasing the level of energy efficiency of budgetary institutions.
